“House Bill 19 targets ”tweens,” those 14 to 17 years old, by requiring school districts to adopt policies that prevent and address dating violence at school, provide staff training on prevention and include dating violence prevention in the health education curriculum for grades seven to 12.”We’re pretty happy with the timing in that it will be in effect the next school year,” sponsor state Rep. Sandra Stabile Harwood said.
Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland signed the bill earlier this week.”
