It was May of 1983 at the Motown 25th Anniversary special when Michael Jackson redefined himself (again) and took the world by storm with this stunning performance.

The Off the Wall album caught a lot of people off guard eventhough it had become blatantly obvious what a talent Michael was. It was a prelude to the explosion that was on the horizon.

Michael teaches Flip the new math. Flip had the ability to “feud” with anybody. Obviously he and Michael have declared war on each other.

This is one of the first videos to really push the boundary of music videos. The band is kicking (but weren’t they always?).
