  • From The Vancouver Sun:

Author Nicole Williams has taken some heat for the “if you’ve got it flaunt it” message in her new career advice book, Girl on Top. Some say it’s a throwback to life before the feminist movement. Williams says it is reality, and society is trying to pretend it’s not. Her mission is to open the dialogue about men, women and how women can use “it” to find success.

A quick glance at chapter titles and opening paragraphs could cause a budding professional woman to misunderstand Williams’ intent as she draws parallels between traditional dating rules and how they can be applied to a woman’s career.

Williams makes her intent very clear.

  • Instead of searching for someone who is perfect, you should make a list of all the qualities which you look for in a girl. Maybe you will meet someone who makes perfect sense of the qualities and is there waiting for you.

smalltown1Integrating into the community is step one to dating in a tiny town. Integrating into a Little City Community remember that little towns frequently have an exclusive environment whereby gaining the trust of local residents plays a huge factor.

Folks who live in little cities are typically wary of outsiders. A good method to get together and meet lots of the neighbors is to get into the good books of the rustic community. The perfect places to meet and greet tiny city people are the superstore, the local church and the general public library.

racismHowever, in our never ending quest to Find Mr. Right, the one under-discussed, over looked and “it can’t happen to me” aspect of being on the dating scene is your personal security, and that of your children.

In fact, online dating is one way pedophiles find their next victims (through unsuspecting single mothers looking for love and perhaps a male role model for their children).

This is a topic most avoid and few embrace. The very idea of being in the presence of a bad seed and your safety being vulnerable is not something we care to acknowledge.
