Marriage not the big deal it once was

Residents of Hamilton County don’t seem to be in a rush to tie the knot like they use to.

Last year, 4,537 couples applied for a marriage license in Southwest Ohio’s most populous county. That’s the fewest since 1957, when 4,467 couples sought to tie the knot, according to figures provided by Probate Court.

The trend also is evident in other southwestern Ohio counties.

This could one of the reasons.
