    A typical problem for clients of mine is their belief that they have to lose 50 pounds and be financially secure prior to being able to attract lasting love. This is of course a myth. This is just low self-esteem blocking you from being truly whole.

    It’s great to want to appear your best, be your best, have high self-esteem and feel good about your money situation. It feels truly wonderful to feel stable, confident, and attractive.

    There are a HUGE number of corporations that feed on peoples’ low sense of self-image. At some point or other, we have all fallen prey to buying that hot new exercise machine that promises to make it simple for us to tone up, slim down and have a beautiful self. Supplements, special diet foods or dieting plans, products for our hair, skin, teeth, libido, you name it! And these things are directly centered around one simple idea – that we’re not inherently OK the way we already are.

    We’re so accustomed to this type of thought pattern that we hardly even what’s] happening to us. It is not surprising that we subscribe to this. After all, when we arrive here, at the beginning of our existence, we’re admired and perfect – mostly. Then almost immediately we’re being compared to how our older sibling did things, at what age they developed this ability, sitting, crawling, language, and so on. Our hair, our bodies and how they are the same or different to the other one or that. “Oh, she looks similar to Aunt Mary when she was that age.” You understand the pattern.

    Begin by examining your early beliefs and emotions about your body. Many people do not actually understand that they have persisting energy or emotions from these early experiences. Negative emotion, whether pervading or subtle, doesn’t feel good and many of us just teach ourselves to subjugate it, deal with it, or drive it further into the underbelly of your mind. These influential emotional experiences usually stay buried. We’ve all heard the term “emotional baggage.” We go through life with old unresolved, paining, hard to deal with feelings continuing to be held somewhere in us. Those emotions emanate to the Universe to mirror back more of the same. You can free yourself by improving your self-esteem.

    Begin to change your relationship with yourself by creating a list of what you appreciate about you. What truly works about your body? What can you love about your appearance? Think of 5 affirmations each day that you truly appreciate about your body. Do you like your eyes? Are you thankful for working fingers? Make a list of the positive things about you and view your energy and vibrational level of attraction begin to soar. You CAN improve your self-esteem and attract love.
