Paul S. Krueger was homeless, but not to the women he met on MillionaireMatch.com.
They came from all over the country and ranged in age from their 20s to their 50s. He told them stories about being a Grammy-nominated producer who had worked with Quincy Jones, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and Michael Jackson before leaving the business to take up investing.
They bought his tales - and agreed to buy in on his investment enterprise, sending him a total of $102,000.
Krueger responded, authorities now allege, by going on a high-roller’s Atlantic City spending spree that ended with his fraud arrest as he lingered over a soda at Harrah’s casino Wednesday afternoon.

As a professional driver in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series and an occasional model, 50-year-old Robert Frost of Beavercreek is used to the limelight. But he wasn’t prepared for this: Over the past year, women who are complete strangers have tracked him down through the Internet, sent him packages and recognized him at airports and other public venues.
Some want answers. Others are curious or confused. And some are just plain angry.
That’s because Frost had his photos heisted from the Internet by romance scammers who have used his image to lure women on matchmaking Web sites.

You may have seen Oprah, Ellen or some other one name only talk show host discussing internet dating online. No doubt they have stressed the importance of making sure that you stay safe and secure. Some of the advice is general enough that it obviously applies to everyone. But the great preponderance of this advice is being aimed directly at women.

Many people refuse to even consider online dating. When you ask them why, you get reasons that range from skepticism about the whole process to fear of what they maybe getting into. A lot of people just want to stick with the tried and true traditional dating. They figure the risks will be a lot less than meeting someone they have never seen in person.
While that is a fair point, it seems to neglect the fact that traditional dating also contains a certain amount of risk.

One of the major benefits of online dating is the ability to remain anonymous. As we all know there is something about an air of mystery that excites many of us. The less a person reveals about themselves, the more we want to know about them. That is human nature and its something online dating exploits quite effectively. Being anonymous also seems to liberate many of us. People become less inhibited about sharing their inner thoughts online with people they really don’t know.
And that brings us to the flip side of being anonymous online…
