Advice from Steve Harvey

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Yesterday Tauriq Moosa wrote a pretty strong review of comedian Steve Harvey’s Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.

Nevertheless the book is a major success and has remained at the top of the New York Times bestseller list for over three months. Who put it there and keeps it there? Cassandra Spratling at The Detroit Free Press:

Readers, overwhelmingly women, have been flooding bookstores nationally for the tour. People know Harvey as one of America’s funniest comedians. But his book, while humorous, is no laughing matter. Harvey said he wrote the book to help women who want a serious relationship or for those who want to strengthen a relationship.

  1. Frederick Douglass says:

Steve Harvey is a shallow bigot and anyone who buys into his beliefs is, as what he calls others that disagree with him, an idiot.

  2. DerBingle says:

I don’t think it’s really that cut and dry. Some things he says make more sense than others. Apparently a lot of women who make up the majority of his book buying public don’t see him as a shallow bigot.
